Best of the Week on BB&B

What a busy week with so many extraordinary events happening! The Royal Wedding was a day to remember ~ and speaking of weddings, today is our 17th wedding anniversary. We are not going to be riding in a carriage or flying out in a helicopter, but we will celebrate this day, just as we did 17 years ago.
As always, here is the re-cap in case you missed anything.

Royal Wedding Dress - Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress

Kate Middleton makes her way to Westminster Abbey (Pic:PA)
Royal bride Kate Middleton's wedding Bridal dress is an ivory gown with lace applique floral detail designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, it was announced today.

Made of ivory and white satin gazar, the skirt resembles "an opening flower" with white satin gazar arches and pleats.
And Kate's bridal flowers contain a touching tribute to her husband to-be - her bouquet includes sweet William.

The dress's beautiful, intricate train measures just two metres 70 centimetres - modest in comparison to many previous royal brides.

The train and bodice are decorated with delicate lace applique flowers, handcrafted using the Carrickmacross lace-making technique, which originated in Ireland in the 1820s.

Stunning!

I dragged myself out of bed at 5:30am to watch the Royal Wedding and it was well worth it.  Apparently, Prince William told Kate Middleton, "you look stunning" (or beautiful depending on the lip reader) after he saw her and he was quite right.  She looked amazing in her dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and I bet it will be the dress that launches a thousand sleeves.  The wedding was dreamy and romantic and gives you faith in love and marriage.  Cheers!
